Terrible Twos?
That's a myth. I am discovering every day that the real problem is the Terrible 3s. Not only are there all the behavior issues, but there's all the "mouth" to go with it. Micah is driving me up the wall!! He loves to hit Grayson and knock him over. When I tell him something is not nice, he says, "Yes it is. It's funny." I could tell him the sky is blue, & he would vehemently argue that it's purple. Just another phase I guess.

Winter Can't Come Fast Enough
At least for Micah. A few months ago, I bought him a pair of snow boots on clearance at Old Navy. I put them in his closet for this winter. The past few days, when I ask him to put his shoes on, he says he wants to wear his boots. I've explained to him that these boots are for the snow & he can't (i.e., I don't want him to) wear them with his shorts. This morning, I asked him to get dressed. He brought the boots to me and said, "It's snow time. I'm wearing my boots." After much discussion about seasons & weather, he is NOT wearing the boots :0)
9 Month Checkup
Grayson had his 9 month check up yesterday afternoon. He's still a big boy. He weighed 23 lbs, 14 oz (90th percentile) & was 29.5 in long (90th percentile). His head size is also between the 75th & 90th percentile so he's proportionate :) He's right on track with everything. He's not saying any words, which I am not concerned, but his doctor is hoping he'll say between 3 and 5 words by his first birthday. She is not concerned either. The doctor asked if Grayson was crawling, & I explained to her that he scoots on his bottom. I told her that Micah did the same, and she asked which one of us (me or Joe) had done that. I told her I had, and she said that usually when she sees a child do that, one of their parents did as well. Interesting.
Grayson had one shot and was a total trooper. I can't believe my baby is getting so big. I think I treat him more like a little baby than I did Micah at this age because he's the youngest, & he may be the last baby. So we are enjoying him as he is each and every day.
