That's right, a little brother for Micah. We are very excited! Lot's of people ask if I'm disappointed it wasn't a girl but I really didn't care. I think having two boys will be so fun! And brothers have a special bond it seems. This little guy was very active during the ultrasound and was not shy! He stretched and posed and looked right at us several times. It was so amazing. So here are a few ultrasound pictures. He's definitely a boy!

Fetal Assessment
Yesterday, we went in for our fetal assessment to make sure everything is okay with the baby and to find out the sex. Baby is doing well. I was exactly 19 weeks and 1 day yesterday, and the baby was measuring 19 weeks and 1 day as well. Good heartbeat, good brain, good stomach. And what you really want to know....

Boat Ride
On Saturday, Joe, Micah, and I went out with some friends on their boat on the Tennessee River. It's been so hot here lately but it was still nice. This was Micah's first time on a fast boat (he's been on a ferry-like boat before). We bought him a life vest, and he actually didn't throw a fit when we put it on him. He seemed to like it. He also thoroughly enjoyed riding on the boat and attempted to get back on it when it was on the trailer in the parking lot ready to go. He didn't like getting in the water as much. We stopped on the river bank in a shady spot and swam a little while. Joe took Micah in the water with him, but Micah just whined the entire time. He finally got where he would put his feet in the water without complaint, but it took a lot of prodding. On the way back to the marina, Micah fell asleep. He was pooped. Here are a few pictures. Overall, it was a good day.

Summer Activities
I love summer because there are all sorts of free activities you can do. The days are longer. It's hot, but it's fun to enjoy the outdoors. On Saturday, we took Micah to see Madagascar 2 in the park. We got there around 7:30 and let him play until the movie started a little after 8:30. He made it until about 9:30, then we had to leave because he was getting a little restless. His bed time is 7:30 so I was happy he made it that long.

Yesterday, we had to opportunity to go to a "real" pool with Micah's friends. Their mom has a membership to a gym with an outdoor pool, and she can bring a guest for free. There is a kiddie pool that's fenced off from the big pool. It's only 18 inches deep, but my friend let me borrow some swimmies for Micah. Yes, they're pink but Micah is not ashamed! She still uses them for her girls as well just in case they fall over. Micah was a little skeptical and didn't really like the cold water. He finally started playing in it a little bit then fell over. It was a good thing he had the swimmies on because it was a little deep for him when he fell. He fell face first and got a mouth and nose full of water. He didn't cry but he wouldn't get back in after that. He was content putting his toes in the water and playing with toys around the edge of the pool.

Here are a few additional pictures of Micah playing in his kiddie pool a few weeks ago with his friends.
